Diddy at it Again......
Tuesday, February 3, 2009
This suprises me so much, Diddy causing drama......NOT! This guy is rediculous, after I heard how he treats his artists and how much he charges them it just proved my point even more, this guys old music when he first started is fine but as of late is he is horrific...read below to see what he has said now...
Hip Hop entrepreneur and rapper Diddy has become one of the latest artists to pass the blame regarding Hip Hop's current status.
In a recent interview with MTV, Diddy explains why Hip Hop could have been better if the DJ hadn't fallen off.
"People have figured out the formula when they make records for radio, and DJs ain't DJs no more," Diddy explained to MTV. "DJs don't break records no more. DJs don't play album cuts. DJs play what is going to move the crowd. DJs, they don't expose you to the newness. That was the DJs' thing. Hip Hop is in a recession also. It's not dead, it's definitely way better than where it was at, as far as with 'Ye, T.I. and with Jeezy. It's so much great stuff out there, the responsibility has to come with the DJs."
In similar news, Diddy is currently working on his latest album which he promises will have an unexpected and experimental sound.
"Right now, I'm working on my record, and it'll be out in the end of summer," said Diddy. "It's feeling good. It's different. I'm creating a new sound. It doesn't sound like anybody else's stuff out there. With that comes a risk. I'm excited about the risk. I do have a beef a little bit with the game right now. I think Hip Hop has lost its risk-taking quality. Everybody goes to the comfort zone. It doesn't have that risk anymore. You're not like, 'What is that?' when you hear that record anymore."
In an interview with InTouch Weekly last year, Diddy explained his new sound as "electro Hip Hop soul".
Diddy's most recent solo album, Press Play, was released in 2006 and debuted as number one in the United States.

Jay-Z and Rock Star Wayne
Wednesday, January 28, 2009
First heres some unreleased Jay-Z (just audio, not for download)
Producers Drew Correa, who previously worked with Lil Wayne as his engineer, and Infamous were shocked to even hear that Lil Wayne was creating a rock album, let alone that their track "Prom Queen" would be the album's first single.
"Wayne hit me up one night and wanted us to come through the studio to make some tracks with him live. When the track came together the next morning, everyone thought it was the shit, and he [Wayne] told us it would be a single," producer Drew Correa told Billboard. "We thought he was joking. We thought he was just saying that to be nice. But, a couple of days later we were signing paperwork and it was actually happening."
"You gotta give him credit--he's done everything he can with Hip Hop and has proven himself," Infamous explained to Billboard. "Now he's about to prove himself as a rocker and we're excited to be a part of it."
In similar news, Lil Wayne will perform "Prom Queen" for the first time ever at a concert in San Diego that will be streamed live, thanks to AT&T and their FREEdom of Choice and Mobile Music Facebook pages.
"We have streamed festivals and shows in the past, but this is the first time AT&T will stream a live performance for our Facebook pages," AT&T spokesperson Heather Buffington told Billboard.
"I'm honored that AT&T selected me as the first artist to be a part of this historic live event," said Lil Wayne through a press release. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Wayne had 2008's top-selling ringtone, with "Lollipop" [click to listen] selling 2,365,000 copies.
The concert will stream live at 9:40 p.m. PST on January 27, and after the concert the "Prom Queen" ringtone will be available for download to AT&T customers.

Lil Weezy Baby
Monday, January 26, 2009
Despite early reports of Lil Wayne re-releasing Tha Carter III with all new songs; Wayne's rep has now told MTV that his upcoming release has nothing to do with his multi-platinum 2008 release or any of his previous hip hop efforts.
April 7 marks the day that Lil Wayne will unleash his latest effort. A rock album entitled Rebirth.
The first single, "Prom Queen,"

Jay-Z talks Blueprint 3
Friday, January 23, 2009
Recently, Jay-Z has been seen on various media outlets and has been a part of the inauguration ceremonies for President Obama. With all of this coming up, it's been easy to forget what was once the most highly anticipated album since Dr. Dre's Detox in Jay's Blueprint 3. Now, Jigga has released news on the album and more.
"For me, the process of making an album is difficult with so many things going on," he told MTV. "And me, I wanna make it beyond and above. I'm gonna take my time with it. I don't have any quotas, and that's a good thing. It may be too freeing. It's a good thing and a bad thing. You know, I think I need some restrictions. 'Cause if I had restrictions, I would have done it in three weeks. I would have made what I believe to be a great piece of art."
Months ago, Kanye West spoke on the album, which many believe will be entirely produced by Yeezy [click to read].
"He wanted to do a few more joints, so he kinda pushed it back. Now we're gonna go in and just work on some more records. So I got some more stuff to kill it with! I think [Jay pushed the album back because] 'Swagger' just did so incredible. We wanted to go up [and make sure] everything was on that level."
Jay also added that "Brooklyn (We Go Hard)" [click to listen] is currently on the new album.
"I actually recorded a lot of records already. You know, all those records that leaked [online] were on 'The Blueprint 3'."
In addition to being one of the most talked about albums, it will also be his last on Def Jam. While he did sign a very lucrative deal with Live Nation [click to read], no official word has been given in regards to his distribution.

Regardless of your politic views or even the fact that this site has zero to do with politics. I thought i'd give those of you the chance who didn't catch President Obama getting sworn in a chance to see so, truly in amazing site if you think 30 years back when white people and black people couldn't be in the same restaurants, use the same bathrooms and blacks were given no rights at all, truly a great day in history, and what a coincidence that it comes a day after MLK's death, god bless you all, and we will see what this next 4 years has in store for us, cuz Bush really fucked us over.

50 disses Kanye, again
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
You can tell 50 Cent has a new album coming out when he hits the radio and starts beefs with other rappers for absolutely no reason. Thus was the case this weekend as Fiddy called into Eminem’s Shade 45 XM/Sirius radio station to unload diss after diss on Lil Wayne and Kanye West — and talk a little bit about his upcoming album Before I Self Destruct.
When Kanye released 808s & Heartbreak, he blogged that 50 Cent would love it, but on the radio 50 finally responded by saying the album was “an R&B record.” “I’m surprised he got away with it,” 50 said. “That album is supposed to be a brick.” 50 also mocked Kanye’s singing skills. 50 had equally harsh words for Lil Wayne, saying the Carter III rapper was a “junkie” and a “little baby.” “[Wayne] had a great album,” he said, “but he makes a lot of records and I think he’s gonna exhaust the public with his sound. He’s a talented artist, but if you put us in a space where we’re in competition, my consistency will break his neck.” Fiddy then dared — almost pleaded — for both rappers to respond, probably in an attempt to keep his name in the papers and blogs before Self Destruct is released.
50 Cent also shed some light on that leaked Dr. Dre track “Could Have You Been,” saying the song, which also features R. Kelly, was recorded two years ago for Detox. “I do this the best,” 50 gloats about his beef-making skills, “I’m relevant year round. To be honest with you, the reality television show [MTV’s The Money & The Power, since canceled] was nothing but a commercial for my album.”
You can listen to the whole interview over at Nah Right. Despite all the posturing, keep in mind 50 Cent promised to retire after Kanye West’s Graduation beat 50’s Curtis in a sales battle in September 2007. Self Destruct is out February 3rd, giving 50 Cent roughly three more weeks to run his mouth. Now doesn’t this all remind you of September 2007, when 50 and Kanye sat down for three video interviews on the set of their Rolling Stone cover shoot? Check them out here:

Kanye..............nude?
Monday, January 12, 2009
After pushing the boundaries of what is considered “Hip Hop” with his latest album, "808s & Heartbreak", Kanye West wants to push the boundaries of what’s considered acceptable. The rapper/producer now wants to bare it all in a nude photo shoot.
Before Kanye takes it off for the camera, however, he wants to make sure he’s pleasing to the eye.
"I definitely feel, like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked,” West told Vibe.
West adds that he’s not necessarily looking for attention, but wants to challenge American and black culture norms.
“I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”
Though a potential nude spread from West would challenge norms, the star also knows it would dominate the headlines—more so than other celebrities who have done the same thing.
"If [Bjork] wanted to pose naked, you'd (public and media) be like, 'Oh, that's Bjork.' But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it.”
If Kanye goes through with the photos, the Chicago representer will be following in the footsteps of several rappers. Big Daddy Kane jumped off the trend, posing with Madonna and Naomi Campbell.
Ice-T followed suit several years ago, posing nude with his wife Coco for an album cover.

Lil Wayne To Release Rock Album?
Rapper Drake revealed recently that Lil Wayne's latest project will be a rock album.
"Wayne's coming out with a new album, it's a rock album," said Drake in an interview with MuchMusic.com. "A complete rock album. I have a song on there."
The rapper likened the project to Kanye West's latest project. "It’s something different in just that whole 808s and Heartbreaks, just throwing individuals off."
Drake will be touring with Wayne in North America, stopping at Montreal on Jan. 14 and Toronto on Jan. 15. He has also signed a management deal with Kanye West managers Gee Roberson and Kyambo "Hip Hop" Joshua and Lil Wayne manager Cortez Bryant.

Finally: Bidding for Chicago Cubs may be near an end
Tribune Co. owner of the Chicago Cubs is close to selecting a winning bid for the team from three finalists, according to people familiar with the sales talks. The Tribune could announce the winning in as soon as 10 days. Three prospective buyers made offers for the franchise at the end of November: Chicago real estate investor Hersch Klaff; the Ricketts family, founders of online brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation and a group led by Marc Utay, a New York private-equity investor who grew up in Chicago. If the winning bidder is able to finalize a contract with Tribune Co., the buyer must be approved by three-quarters of baseball owners. It is also possible a bankruptcy court judge will have a say in the process, because Tribune Co. filed for Chapter 11 protection Dec. 8. The Cubs are not included in the filing, but the sale would generate proceeds for debtholders. Maybe now we can make big trades for people such as Jake Peavy

Marquis To Rockies Trade Finalized
Monday, January 5, 2009
Jason Marquis is offically a Colorado Rockie. The Cubs got Luis Vizcaino in return. The trade freed up just under 5 Mil and that would to Milton Bradley. Luis has a life time 4.34 ERA. I would expect him to take the role of short relief around the 6th inning.
